AT-KABUL: At least 11 Taliban insurgents including five Daesh terrorists were killed and four others wounded in different clearance operations launched by security forces in eastern Nangarhar province, security officials said Saturday.
In a statement, the ministry of interior said the operations were conducted late Friday in different areas of the Pachiragam, Ghani Khil and Hesarak districts.
“A rocket launcher, five different types of rifles and some amount of ammunitions were seized during the raid,” the statement said.
It added a commander of Taliban insurgents were also killed during the operations.
“Four Taliban insurgents were killed by their own explosives while they were planting roadside bombs,” the statement concluded.
The security forces lunched different clearance operations in Nangarhar after blasts in different parts of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital leave at least five dead including two security personnel and a child and 27 wounded on Friday.
