AT-KABUL: The GIZ, a German organization with the cooperation of the Ministry of Information and Culture held a two-day peace fair in Bagh-e-Babor in Kabul with the aim of mobilizing the youth toward supporting peace process across the country.
“Everyone particularly youth has the responsibility to work for peace in the country, said Sayed Kamal Sadaat, caretaker minister.
While motivating people to take active part in bringing peace to the country, he said that decades of war marred all sectors including, education, infrastructure, development and health across the country, thus it is required of young generation to exert utmost efforts to reach ad durable peace in the country.
Civil Peace Service (ZFD) Program Coordinator of GIZ Andreas Selmeci urged youth to strive hard to lead the country toward prosperous and stability.
He urged youth to think what they can do for their country rather than waiting what their country should do for them.
A participant from Badakhshan Sodaba Sahar said that peace is a dream for all Afghan, thus I attend to the program to show my willing for peace.
She said that it is required of everyone to work for peace and take at most or at least part to support peace process.
“Even a simple smile for each other can give peace massage,” she added.
Another participant Mohammad Obaid said that he has participated in the peace fair program to join the peace seeker voices and reach to everlasting peace in the country.
He called on insurgents do not seduce by stranger and join peace process in order to have a developed and peaceful country.
It is pertained to mention that different pictures and paintings which had peace massage were put on display in the peace exhibition. Also participant from different provinces would discuss different issues exist in their provinces and will seek outgoing ways during two days peace fair, which was launched in Bagh-e-Babor.
