AT-KABUL: At least 51 insurgents including two commanders and two Daesh terrorists were killed and 42 others wounded in different operations launched by the security forces within the past 24 hours across the county, security officials said on Monday.
The national army with the cooperation of the national police and the national directorate of security operatives, conducted clearance operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Paktika, Ghazni, Khost, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Daykundi, Badghis, Herat, Farah, Faryab Kunduz and Helmand provinces, the defense ministry said in a statement.
In these operations, 51 Taliban insurgents including two commanders of Paida Gul and Zuber were killed and 42 others injured.
In addition to that one insurgent was arrested.
“Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds of ammunition during the operations,” it said.
However, the statement did not provide details about the casualties among security forces.
