AT-KABUL: Hamid Karzai, the former president, met Wednesday with a number of industrialists from Herat province, his office said.
“Ataullah Habibi, one of the pioneer industrialists whose business is making fridges and freezers, said over a hundred types of freezers and refrigerators have been so far made in his factory with the trade mark of Afghanistan,” Karzai’s office said in a statement.
“The refrigerators and freezers are being used for keeping fruit, meat and diaries in the country.”
Soltan Ali Khalili, another industrialist with a 27-year experience in the oil and gas industry, said: “I returned home from Iran after the establishment of the interim administration. I am honored to serve my country and people by the pipe laying in oil and gas.”
