AT-KABUL: At least six people “all of them civilians” were killed and two others received injuries after their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in eastern Nangarhar province, provincial official said on Sunday.
A woman and a child were also among the dead in the attack that took place in Pachiragam district, Attaullah Khogyani, provincial governor’s spokesman said.
Militants loyal to the Daesh (Islamic State) group are very active in different parts of the province.
Nevertheless, no group including Daesh has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, this comes as two days ago, the Daesh fighters set 65 residential houses on fire in the Baba Ghondi area of Kost district of the province.
Confirming the news, Attaullah Khogiani, said that most of the families had fled the Baba Ghonid area recently due to conflicts.
“During torching no family were in house, so there are no human casualties in the area,” he added.
