AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Two police officers were shot dead by unidentified gunman in Kabul city, security officials said Tuesday. Kabul police chief, Hassan Shah Frogh confirmed the incident and said it took place late Monday in the police district 8 while the officers were busy in a search operation in Beni Hesar area of the city.
He did not provide more information regarding the incident, but said that an investigation was underway regarding the attack.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility behind the incident.
This comes as the security situation of the city becomes worse after three hand-running incidents took place in less than one month which killed dozen innocent civilians.
