AT News Report-KABUL: At least 27militants were killed and 17 others were wounded in different operations launched by the military in the past 24 hours, officials said Saturday.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense (MoD), said that Afghan National Army (ANA) with the cooperation of Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Kapisa, Nangarhar, Laghman, Paktika, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Farah, Faryab, Kunduz and Helmand provinces..
The statement said that in these operations 27 insurgents were killed and 17 others were injured.
Sixrebels were also arrested and handed over to judiciary organs for further investigation.
This joined operation of the Defense Security Forces was supporting by the artillery and air forces, added statement.
ANAdiscovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
