AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Education officials in eastern Kapisa province have pointed out that some powerful individuals have been illegally occupied land in Alasai district, allotted for a township for teachers.
Property officer of education department has confirmed while talking to the local media that the greedy and powerful individuals have constructed homes on 36 acres of the said land.
He came hard on the district administration for not taking action against the land mafia, adding that the concerned officials did not respond to the complaints by exposing the occupants.
He added that the worse security situation in the district does not allow the local administration to take required action and stop the illegal construction on the land of teachers.
Moreover, Ghulam Naqashband Safi, district administrative chief, commenting into the matter has confirmed the usurpation of the teacher’s land.
He said the issue is on table and would be resolved in the nearest time.
However, Javid, a school teacher in the district said that we are obliged to the government for allotting the land but unfortunately usurped by the land mafia and at the time the concerned channels of the government are hesitating and did not address the issue for the last 10 years.
