AT-KABUL: The operatives of National Directorate of Security (NDS) have foiled a deadly truck bombing in Kabul before the militants manage to detonate it inside the city.
The Afghan Intelligence, NDS, in a statement said before reaching its distinction a Hino type mini-truck loaded with 2500 kilograms of explosive materials has been seized in the premises of Chahar Asiab district of capital Kabul province.
According to NDS, the insurgents were planned a deadly terrorist attack and destined the vehicle to Kabul city for the sole purpose of bombing in a key part of the city.
However, no militant groups, including the Taliban insurgents have commented into the matter so far.
It comes at a time when almost two months ago a deadliest truck-bombing was incurred at Zanbaq Square, near the embassy of Germany, in which over 130 innocent people were killed and more than 300 others sustained injuries, followed by a coordinated suicide attacks on a funeral prayer of Salim Izadyar, son of Muhammad Alam Izadyar, deputy speaker of Meshrano Jirga (Senate) where dozens of innocent people lost their precious lives.
