AT-KABUL: Unknown armed men attacked the female employees of the US-administered Bagram military airbase, killing two Afghan female employees and wounding two others, said officials.
“Two armed men riding motorbike opened fire at female employees of Bagram airbase in Parwan, which as result two of the employees killed and two other were wounded,” said Spokeswoman for Parwan Governor Wahida Sidiqi.
She said that the employees were leaving Bagram airbase, while came under attack in front of the gate at around 1:30 pm.
She said that the two wounded employees were shifted to hospital for treatment and the case is under investigation.
Eelier the targeted employees were warned by unknown armed groups as well, she mentioned.
It is early to elaborate further about jobs and residency of the killed and wounded employees, she noted.
The attacker had fled the area after opening fire at employees, she concluded.
No armed group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
