The Shaheen 209th Army Corps Deputy Spokesman, Nasratullah Jamshidi, said Afghan security forces have taken control over dozens of Taliban vehicles, loaded with arms and weapons.
The Chamtal military offensive has been launched under the leadership of Balkh governor, Atta Muhammad Noor some days ago.
The Taliban militants remained determined to take over control of the district and fighting almost constantly over it for the last eight years. According to analysts, they would be unwillingly to lose it easily. The brave and patriotic Afghan forces are chasing insurgency in mountains and valleys across the country. The US-led NATO member countries must approve the four years developmental plan to further enhance war capability of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
