AT-KABUL: Three civilians were injured Sunday in a car bombing targeting a convoy of the NATO troops in Kabul city, Afghan and NATO officials said.
“The incident took place in Police District 5, Char Rahi Qambar Kabul city at 11:3am,” said Najeeb Danish, deputy spokesman for the ministry of interior.
He added that the target was foreign troop’s convoy.
According to initial report three civilians were wounded in the incident
In a statement Resolute Support mission said that that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) targeted a NATO convoy Sunday morning in Kabul. “There are no Resolute Support casualties as a result of the explosion,” the mission said, adding that “a team from Resolute Support is on the scene to recover the vehicle. There is no impact to Resolute Support operations.”
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, in a statement the group’s spokesman said that the attack was carries out by their fighter. He claimed that foreign troops sustain heavy casualty during the incident.
