AT-KABUL: Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Monday said that five armed Taliban killed and 13 others arrested in southern Ghazni province.
“General Command of Police Special Units launched a joint special operation with Resolute Support Mission Forces in Spina Ghondi and Tanki villages, Nawa district, of Ghazni against insurgents last night,” said a press statement issued by MoI.
Statement said that five armed Taliban killed and 13 other armed Taliban with some amount of ammunition arrested during the operation in the province.
Two GCPSU officers were wounded during the operation, added statement.
The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have stepped up Counter-Terrorism operations to suppress the insurgency activities of the terror groups, concluded the statement.
