AT-KABUL: At least 15 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 22 others wounded during an operation carried out by Afghan security forces in northern Faryab province, a security source said on Saturday.
A statement issued here Saturday, said that at least 15 Taliban insurgent were killed and 22 others injured during airstrike and ground operations in Sera, Bai Moghli and Baloch villages of Khwaja Sabzposh and Sherintagab district of Faryab province.
The Taliban recruitment in-charge Mullah Sahar Gul also has been arrested by Afghan forces during operation in a checkpoint in Pul-e-Maimana area in the province, the statement added.
In a separate operation, seven Taliban insurgents were arrested during an operation launched by Special Forces in Naw Shahr Kakaro village of Chamtal district of Balkh province, underlined the statement.
