AT-KABUL: At least three people embraced martyrdom and two others received injuries after an explosion ripped through Police District 2th of Jalalabad city in eastern Nangarhar province, local officials confirmed.
“Three people martyred and two others wounded in an explosion—which the nature of it is yet to clear, inside a hotel room in Jalalabad about mid-day on Tuesday,” Attaullah Khogyanai told Afghanistan Times.
Substantial damages also caused to the surrounding shops.
So far no militant outfits, including the Islamic State (IS), also known as Daesh terrorists that has manipulate some parts of the province, have claimed responsibility for the attack.
However, security officials have not confirmed the type of explosives device used in the attack.
Both the insurgent groups –Taliban and Daesh insurgents are active in some areas of the province, but Daesh extremist has carried out several attacks there, in which civilians were the main victims.
