AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A dialogue between Afghanistan and Islamabad has been kicked in Islamabad on Monday in which a 12-member Afghan delegation has participated.
The three-day dialogue between Afghanistan and Pakistan, jointly organized by the Islamabad-based Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) and the UK-based Safeworld, is an effort seeking improvement in the tense relations between the duo.
The CRSS said peace and security, possible consequences of the recent deadly wave of terrorism in Afghanistan, regional connectivity and economic ties are the major topics to be debated during the three-day session.
“Tension between Kabul and Islamabad are also affecting traders and refugees,” CRSS added.
The Afghan delegation has been scheduled meetings with the ministers of Pakistan’s government, including foreign ministry officials and students in universities of Islamabad.
The Afghan delegation comprises advisor to Chief Executive on Trade and Regional Cooperation, Mozammil Shinwari, members of parliament and ex-Taliban ambassador Abdul Hakeem Mujahid.
Moreover, co-chairman and President of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chambers of Commerce and Industries Khan Jan Alokozai, former governor of Nangarhar Saleem Khan Kunduzi and representative of CEO on migration Sikander are also part of the delegation.
