AT News Report-KABUL: 10 Afghan policemen embraced martyrdom after their security post came under attack of the Taliban insurgents in Shindand district of western Herat province, official said on Friday.
The Taliban insurgents attacked Larzang security post in the district, provincial governor spokesman, Jilani Farhad said, adding “four policemen were also received injuries in the attack.”
“The Taliban insurgents stormed the security post from all directions,” he said, adding 15 Taliban’s fighters were also killed in retaliation during attack.
However, the Taliban insurgents claimed their fighters were escaped the spot unhurt.
Moreover, this comes when last week, at least six people—all of them civilians were martyred and nine others received injuries as a result of explosion occurred in the same district (Shindand).
