AT News Report-KABUL: Foreign Minister, Salahuddin Rabbani on Monday met with the President Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in which both sides discussed political, economic, security and cultural cooperation–bilateral relations and regional consensus, a statement from the foreign ministry said.
Thanking the government of Tajikistan for the high level participation in RECCA, Istanbul Process and Tashkent conference, Rabbani appreciated the enthusiasm of Tajikistan toward peace and stability in Afghanistan and considered Tajikistan an important country in the region.
The President of Tajikistan deemed counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics important, not only for Afghanistan but for Tajikistan, the region and the whole world. He asked for further regional cooperation and global consensus in this regard.
The Foreign Minister talked on enhancing cultural and educational cooperation between the two countries, asked the President of Tajikistan to provide Master and PhD Scholarships for Afghanistan universities.
