AT News Report-KABUL: Flash floods and heavy rainfall have killed 34 people and damaged 864 apartments across the country, according to a government source.
State Ministry for Natural Disaster Management said on Tuesday that floods caused damage in Samangan, Takhar, Kapisa, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Badghis, Panjsher and Ghazni provinces within the past week.
Four other people have sustained injuries, 600 livestock perished and 100 acres of farmland damaged in the floods, it mentioned. Some affected people in Parwan and Sar-I-Pul provinces have received aid and cash money.
The source said a survey for identifying affected families in the mentioned provinces was underway and those who suffered losses or displaced as result of the floods would receive aid.
