AT-KABUL: German government is supporting the peace process in Afghanistan, German’s State Secretary for the Federal Foreign Office, Andreas Michaelis, told Afghan National Security Advisor, Hanif Atmar in a telephonic conversation on Tuesday.
The national Security Council said in a statement that the Atmar and Michaelis also spoke on the joint combat against terrorism and strengthening the regional cooperation.
The national security advisor thanked Berlin for economic and military assistance with Afghanistan and informed Michaelis about the peace process, ceasefire and other developments, according to the statement.
Michaelis also assured Afghan side of his country’s continuing assistance in different parts.
