AT-KABUL: Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai condemned on Friday a bombardment of a village in Chahardara district of northern Kunduz province that left 14 civilians including women and children dead.
He referred to this attack reportedly by U.S. forces that left civilians killed and injured as a war crime and inhumane and in contrast with all international principles, warning a continuation of such brutal attacks on villages and homes of civilians will be excruciating and intolerable.
Karzai voiced his concerns also over persistence of attacks and rise in civilian casualties, urging the government to up the ante against “stubbornness” of foreign forces in the country.
He wished paradise for the martyrs, patience for the bereaved families and quick recovery for the injured.
