AT-KABUL: Afghan Army Special Forces rescued 10 prisoners from a Taliban prison in southern volatile Helmand province on Tuesday night, said officials.
Afghan army Special Forces has conducted clearance operation in Musa Qala district of Helmand last night, which as broken a taliban jail and released 10 people, said a stamen issue by Special Forces Corps.
Statement said that the released prisoners are included four police and six civilians.
Afghan forces arrested two suspects in the district, added statement.
Around 100kg opium with some ammunition also discovered and seized in the area, underlined the statement.
It is pertained to mention that in recent months Afghan forces has broken Taliban’s many jails and recued hundreds of innocent people including police and army forces in Helmand province.
