AT-KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah has left Kabulfor New York to attend the 73rd United Nations General Assembly session.
Leading a high-level delegation, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah left Kabul on Sunday morning for the United States to participate in the UN General Assembly, where he will express the Afghan government’s views on a host of issues including politics, security, counterterrorism combat, anti-grant efforts, counternarcotics and expansion of regional and international cooperation to Afghanistan, said a statement carried by the CEO office.
Abdullah is expected to also elaborate on running free and fair parliamentary, district council and presidential election, achievement of Afghanistan regarding governance, fighting corruption, education, women empowerment, progress of economic and internal and regional challenges in the session.
At the side of the UN general assembly session CEO will meet the UN Secretary General, presidents and foreign ministers of number of countries as well as head of scores of international organizations, added the statement.
CEO was accompanied by Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani and some other high ranking Afghan governmental officials during trip to New York, underlined the statement.
