AT-KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Tuesday’s suicide attack in eastern Nangarhar province, in which at least 14 people were killed and over 40 other received injuries.
The former President called the attack an assault on the democratic and civil rights of the people of Afghanistan. “I extend my deepest condolences and prayers to the families of victims,” the former president quoted in a statement, as saying.
Attack on election rally has left dozens of people dead and injured, and the Islamic State (IS), which is widely known as Daesh militant claimed responsibility for the attack which happened at the election campaign office of a parliamentary candidate in Kama district.
