By Basir Qazizada: Ministry of Interior said on Saturday it has sent 40 police officers to Russia for pursuing their higher education.
“40 police officers including five policewomen were filtered out through a multidisciplinary exam to pursue their higher education in Russia,” said a statement carried by the interior ministry.
In meeting with ‘in charge of the education training’ in the Russian Embassy in Kabul, Minister of Interior Wais Ahmad Barmak contended that sending police officers to Russia will help to a great degree in improving skillset and professionalism in police crews.
He said that the MoI leadership exerts utmost efforts to pave the ground for higher education for police officers inside the country and abroad in order to gradually grant awell-educated and skillful police force to the society.
While urging police officers to obey and respect laws and regulations in the hosted country, he motivated the officers to use the six years as a good opportunity for learning.
Minister praised Russia for bestow of scholarship to Afghan police forces during meeting with the Ambassador of Russia.
Russia Ambassador in Kabul said that he strives to increase the opportunity of training and education for Afghan police officers.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Omar Barez on behalf of all selected officers for training said that we were selected after an exam for advance training to Russia.
He pledges to obey and respect all laws and regulation of the hosted country as well as follow lessons in a better manner.
The selected officers are 12th class graduated students, who will continue higher education for six years in Russia in law and criminal section and will return back with master degree.
It is pertained to mention that 40 officer were also sent for higher auction to Russia by MoI last week.
