AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Afghanistan considered diplomatic relationship with Central Asian countries as significant and wanted to further ties with the regional countries, an official said on Saturday.
Addressing the 8th Central Asian States Deputy Foreign Ministers Meeting, Zaman said his first official visit as Deputy Foreign Minister to Central Asia clearly signified how important it is for Afghanistan to further bolster ties with the Countries of the region.
He termed strong relations with Central Asia as one of the priorities of Afghanistan’s foreign policy.
Meeting hosted by Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek with the cooperation of UN Preventive Diplomacy Center for Central Asia.
According to Pajhowk Afghan News, this meeting was inaugurated and chaired by the UN Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mraslove Ince UN special Representative and Head of the Preventive Diplomacy Center Ms. Natalia Garman, and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Dinar Kamlova.
Participants of the meeting emphasized on further strengthening the economic relations among Central Asian countries and Afghanistan. Uzbekistan expressed its readiness for hosting the next meeting in Tashkent next year.
