AT-KABUL: Gen. Austin Scott Miller, the commander of Resolute Support Mission and U.S. forces in Afghanistan has arrived on western Farah province late on Saturday, retreating support to the Afghan security forces and praised their bravery in fighting terrorism.
He assured NATO’s full support to the Afghan security forces against the insurgents in the province.
He assured security forces of dispatching NATO troops in the province to help them in the fight against Taliban insurgents with targeting insurgents from air.
At the same time, provincial governor has called on Miller to further support the Afghan security forces in the province.
Moreover, on Wednesday, Miller visited Ghazni province where he encouraged Afghan forces, saying “as we are pursuing a political settlement, we also fight to reduce security threats to the Afghan people.”
