By Farhad Naibkhel KABUL: Following allegations of sexual and physical abuses of female footballers, the Attorney General Office (AGO) on Sunday suspended five members of the Afghan Football Federation (AFF), including its head Keramuddin Karim, in which it would help the office to probe the case without any nuisances. Their suspension would help us to investigate the matter in a better manner without any challenges and obstacles, AGO Spokesman Jamshid Rasouli told Afghanistan Times, and informed of a delegation assigned by the AGO in the issue. “The delegation has chalked out a plan to probe the allegation of sexual and physical abuses of female footballers seriously.” The suspended members are including of head AFF Keramuddin Karim, Deputy of Federation, General Secretary of Federation, Get Keeper Committee in charge and the Provincial Communication in charge of the Federation. The spokesman assured to share the findings of probe commission with the media outlets once it done. Moreover, President Ashraf Ghani’s Adviser, Fazel Fazly said in a twitter post that the move was taken after reviewing of the allegations by the Attorney General’s Office. The issue was raised by a member of the Afghan Football Federation, Khalida Popal, who claimed that woman members of the federation are abused physically and sexually by male members of the AFF at its headquarters and at a training camp in Jordan in 2016. But, head of AFF, Keramuddin Karim, last week rejected the claims against him and his office which said he and other employees of the authority have sexually and physically abused female members of the federation including women football players in different occasions.
