AT-KABUL: The Harakat-e-Inqelab-e-Islami (Movement of Islamic Revolution), a former jihadi party says foreign soldiers should withdraw from Afghanistan to put an end to long war in Afghanistan.
A senior member of the party said Tuesday that the United States was not committed to the Kabul-Washington security pact signed by the governments of Afghanistan and the US at the early days of the national unity government, in which the US is committed to help Afghan government to overcome problems of terrorist activities.
He added that the US needed to clarify an exact timeline for the pullout of its troops, adding that an interim administration should replace President Ghani’s government.
The party also asked for the postponement of the July presidential polls to hold successful peace talks and encourage Taliban to join the political process.
Harakat-e-Inqelab-e-Islami is one of seven jihadi parties who were based in Pakistan during the jihad years against the former Soviet Union and then the Soviet-backed government in Kabul.
