KABUL: The candidates who failed to secure enough votes in the last October’s legislative elections, called on the electoral commissions to cancel the results for Kabul province.
The angry candidates who think “widespread” in the elections deprived them from entering the parliament, on Saturday staged demonstrations in Kabul city, demanding for re-election.
The independent election commission announced the initial results of the votes last week. 33 out of more than 800 candidates were announced winners in Kabul.
The election commission asked the protestant candidates to offer their complaints to the independent electoral complaints commission.
