KABUL: Police on Monday said it arrested six drug peddlers in Kabul City, a campaign that began with former Interior Minister and is taking momentum.

Counter Narcotics Police in their operations against drug peddling in Kabul arrested six smugglers from the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th and 9thPDs of Kabul City.

A press statement issued from Kabul police headquarters said the police had been chasing the peddlers for a while and finally apprehended them in the operation.

Some 27g heroin, 15g crystal, 50g hashish, 112g opium and 15 tablets of K discovered and seized from the arrested indicts, added statement.

CNP will continue anti-operations against drug smugglers in Kabul.
