KABUL: Afghan Security Forces have killed 34 Taliban and wounded 56 others in anti-terroristic raid in central Ghazni province, officials said Wednesday.
Army Commander Cl. Mohammad Nasim Sangin said the Afghan security forces conducted clearance operation on Ghazni-Paktika highway in Andar district, in which at least 34 Taliban were killed and 54 others wounded.
However, three Afghan security forces were killed and six others wounded during operation, he lamented.
Civilians have far not allowed traveling through the highway as the area is not completely wiped out from Taliban.
According to officials, the security forces defused more than 58 mines, planted in the highway by the Taliban.
The fight in Ghazni has speed up when the Taliban insurgents still control six districts in the province.
There is no immediate say from the Taliban group at this point after losing a plenty of its fighters.
