KABUL: Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation (MoRR) on Monday said that over 800 displaced families in Badghis and Jawzjan provinces have been provided with humanitarian assistance.
MoRR in a statement said the provincial department of refugee in cooperation with Save the Children, UNICEF and IRC granted 703 displaced families with relief items. The donated goods included warm cloths and health packages, which distributed in Qala-e-Now district center.
The families were displaced due to insecurity from Ab-kamari, Jawand and Balamorghab areas and replaced in Qala-e-Naw district center.
Similarly, Provincial Department of Refugee in cooperation with the State Department for Disaster Management donated food item 110 families in Jawzjan Northern Province. Each family received 50kg flour, 25 Kg rice, and 5 liters of cooking oil in Shibirghan city.
The families were displaced due to insecurity from Faryab, Sar-e-Pul provinces and Darzab and Qushtepa districts of Jawzjan.
