KABUL: National Security Advisor, Dr. Hamdullah Mohib met on Tuesday with the Ms. Anniken Huitfeldt, head of foreign affairs and defense committee in the Norwegian parliament.
The meeting focused on different issues including the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process, fight against terrorism and the Loya Jirga planned to be called in mid-March with people’s representatives discussing ways of ending the long war and brining a durable peace in Afghanistan.
Mohib pointed to the people and government achievements in the past 18 years regarding the success of peace process, saying that people of Afghanistan want a dignified and lasting peace. Mohib added that different classes of the society including women and migrants to the neighboring countries would be informed about the peace program.
He also thanked the royal country of Norway for its cooperation with Afghanistan people and government.
Ms. Huitfeldt expressed her country’s support for the abovementioned issues, specially the Afghan-led peace process, and the continuation of its cooperation with Afghanistan in different various areas.
