KABUL: Top Interior Ministry official called on police forces to act seriously against criminals or tender their resignation—this comes in the wake of serious and violent crime, mainly aggravated robbers that continue to grip the country, especially Kabul.
Acting Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Massoud Andarabi in a ceremony of marking Armed Forces Day called on the police officials to address people’s problems or resign from their posts.
He called on police to not report over small incidents rather take action to resolve it in the spot. “Don’t lodge complaints for robbery cases, vehicles steal, money, or mobiles snatching and some other crimes, the police must resolved it on time,” the Minister added.
Moreover he called on police forces to stay alert in their duty during day and night in a bid to provide secure environment for Afghan masses in general, to Kabul residents in particular.
He said the Ministry of Interior would seriously fight corruptions, criminals and law violators in a bid to make better security for the Afghans.
Recently the ministry has accelerated operations against robbers, killers, kidnapers, law violators, but still Kabul residents complaining of high criminal rates in different part of the city.
