KABUL: Deputy Foreign Minister Idrees Zaman met with the US Deputy Chief of Mission to Kabul Karen Decker, where the talked over key issues, including the ongoing peace efforts with the Taliban.
The Deputy Foreign Minister talked about the Third Kabul Process Meeting, the Consultative Loya Jirga on Peace, and Presidential Elections, said Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Tuesday.
Ms. Karen emphasized Afghanistan’s pivotal role in peace talks with the Taliban.
Both sides talked on bilateral relations, current situation of the country, and preparation of the Afghan list of negotiating delegation with the Taliban.
