KABUL: At least 15 Daesh fighters have been killed in raids conducted by intelligence operatives on Sunday night in Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province, official said Monday.
In a statement National Security Directorate (NDS) said its operatives have conducted military operation in Sangani village of Khogyani district, in which more than 15 Daesh fighters were killed and tens of their hideouts destroyed.
During operation some weapons and ammunitions were also destroyed.
Military personnel, and civilians have not suffered any casualty in the operation, the statement added.
Daesh extremist group have emerged nearly four years ago in Afghanistan and the group conducted several terrorist attacks on military institutions and civilian’s gatherings, even did not spare attacking holy places like Mosques and Shrines.
However, anti-Daesh operations have been in full-swing, where previously they were active in more than 10 districts across the country, where now it has decreased to only three districts.
