KABUL: At least 30 Taliban fighters have been killed during a fresh crackdown conducted by Intelligence Forces of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) in southern Helmand province, official said Saturday.
Intelligence Forces Special Unit conducted a preemptive operation against Taliban’s Red Unit in Charge Mullah Hakim and Taliban Shadow district chief for Marja Mullah Anargul’s hideouts in Sangeen and Marja districts, NDS said in a statement sent to Afghanistan Times.
According to the statement spy forces killed 30 insurgents during these raids which is absolute a great blow to the Taliban extremist group.
During the raids eight hideouts of the enemy completely destroyed, and around 49 different types of mines, one rifle AK-47, seven wirelesses with some other military equipment seized, the statement added.
