KABUL: The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) with cooperation of the Qatari Red Crescent Society has entitled 141 children suffering from heart hole disease for treatment in the Qatari hospitals.
According to a statement released on Sunday by the ARCS, the heart holes affected children would be cured free of charge due to celebration of the 100th anniversary of Afghanistan independent day.
Meanwhile, over 16,000 children are struggling with heart hole disease have been registered so far in the ARCS, from whom over 9,000 ones were cured and 6,700 are waiting to be cured.
This comes as the ARCS Secretary General Dr. Nilab Mubarez had earlier said the society had granted different healthcare services for over four million across the country. The ARCS say that all the children with heart disease registered in ARCS are poor and vulnerable people and their families are not able to afford expenditure of the treatment. Only the way and hope for children with heart disease is ARCS.
