Afghans can no longer tolerate electoral crisis: Abdullah

KABUL: Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah criticizes interferences in the electoral process, warning of an electoral crisis.

Abdullah who is one of 18 hopefuls for the September presidential elections and once again a competitor to President Ashraf Ghani in the race, said that the people of Afghanistan could no more “tolerate electoral crisis”.

He emphasized that serious job needed to hold a transparent election.

Abdullah said the related bodies should work hard to gain people’s trust and hold transparent elections to prevent crisis.

Ghani and Abdullah agreed on a power share brokered by the US former secretary of state John Kerry after none of them accepted the results of 2014 presidential elections.
