KABUL- At least eight people were killed and another 33 nearly all of them civilians were injured after an Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) went off near to southern entrance of Kabul University.
Interior Ministry said the bombing took place at 7:20am after a VBIED in shape a corolla care was detonated close to the southern gate of the university.
Ministry of Public Health confirmed eight people were killed and another 33 were injured in Friday’s blast.
A traffic police is among those who lost their life in today’s blast.
No group so far claimed responsibility for the attack, including the Taliban.
Ministry of Interior said initial intelligence and information indicate the attack was planned and carried out by the Taliban. But after seeing the civilian casualties the group denied to publicly claim the responsibility for the attack.
