KABUL: At least 40 Taliban fighters including scores of their commanders were killed and eight others injured during a joint operation conducted by Afghan forces in western Ghor province.
A press release issued by Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Wednesday that 40 Taliban terrorists were killed and eight more injured in a joint clearance operation carried out by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in the Firoz Koh city, provincial capital.
The press release said that several senior commanders of Taliban terrorists were among those killed in Firoz Koh city.
Unfortunately, three Afghan Local Policemen were martyred during the operation as well, added the statement.
