AT-KABUL: At least 11 anti-Taliban uprising members were killed and six others wounded after the insurgent group attacked center of the pro-government militia in southern Ghazni province.
Spokesman to the provincial governor Shafiq Nang said that Taliban attacked center of the uprising movement in Qal-e-Gardezi area of Andar district last night.
He said that shortly after the attack Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) reached the area to support the militiamen surrounded by the militants. Seven Taliban were killed and four others injured in the clash between security forces and insurgents, he said.
He reiterated that ANSF will support the uprising movements and would protect the anti-Taliban groups.
