KABUL: At least six security forces including one female police officer have been killed and four others wounded in a roadside bomb on Wednesday morning in northern Badghis province, local officials said.
Provincial Chief of Intelligence, Shir Aqa Alokozai has confirmed the incident, saying the roadside mine has targeted the military convey of the security forces in Moqor district of the province.
“The security forces were heading to Qala-e-Naw and one of their vehicles “Humvee” stroke with a roadside mine,” he added. According to him, the mine was planted by the militants.
Badghis is among the insecure provinces in western Afghanistan, where the militants actively conduct their subversive activities against the government and security forces.
