KABUL: At least 18 people were wounded, after a bike-born Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) blew up in northern Balkh province on Tuesday morning, official said.
The blast occurred in Alkozai square in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital city of Balkh, where 18 people, all them civilians, received injuries, Balkh Police Spokesman, Adel Shah Adel told Afghanistan Times.
“Five traffic police, one national police and 12 civilians are among injured.” A traffic vehicle was also partly damaged in the blast, he said.
According to him the blast was not too heavy, but the area was crowded that caused injuries to the several people.
