KABUL: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Idrees Zaman met with the Ambassador of the United States of America to Kabul, Mr. John Bass on Tuesday morning, where they discussed Afghan related issues.
The two sides talked about the recently held Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process 8th Ministerial Conference in Istanbul, the trilateral meeting among Afghanistan-Uzbekistan-United States on the sideline of the said event and the recent visit of Senator Lindsay Graham to Kabul, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Briefly recalling the declaration of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process, the two sides stressed the importance of regional cooperation for a stable and peaceful Afghanistan.
The discussions also included exchange of views on the peace efforts and Afghanistan’s presidential elections.
