KABUL: Afghanistan’s former spy agency head and a 2019 Presidential candidate, Rahmatullah Nabil said the killing of General Qasim Soleimani will increase tension in the region, and Afghanistan should be kept away from these tensions, otherwise, in current circumstance will add to the fragility of the situation in the country. At the same time, Nabil said Soleimani was a threat to the region.
“Soelimani was an asset for Iran’s national interest, while he was a threat to the region. He was one of the proxy wars master-mind in the region,” Nabil tweeted.
Fatimyon, Zanabyon, Hadaryon, and Hussainyon are Soleimani’s creation in recent years, Nabil has added.
Iran’s Major-General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Quds force unit was killed by a US drone strike early this morning in Baghdad.
The United States Department of Defense claimed the responsibility of this attack confirmed the plan was ordered by the US President Donald Trump.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a TV statement Friday strongly condemned the US killing of the Iranian Quds Force commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani and vowed to take “harsh revenge” against “criminals” responsible.
