KABUL: Negotiations between the government and Taliban would be held after a peace deal between militants and the United States, a political leader said.
The negotiations called as intra-Afghan talks are said to be held in Germany after Chinese efforts to host the meeting did not work last year.
Hajji Din Mohammad, head of a political party and member of the High Peace Council, said Sunday that a German delegation was in Kabul to discuss certain issues with Ghani administration and political leaders.
The intra-Afghan talks are to be held in Berlin just after the militants gain a deal with the US envoy Zalmay Khalilzad.
People familiar with the peace talks say that the US-Taliban deal would pave the ground for intra-Afghan negotiations.
