KABUL: Hundreds of residents of western Ghor province on Wednesday staged set-ins in front the of provincial governor’s office, demanding the authorities to pay efforts in launching welfare projects in the province.
Ghor provincial council member, Abdul Hamid Natiqi said the government should have included funds for the central districts’ roads of the province in the 1399 Afghan calendar year.
He has accused the government of being neglected regarding provincial development process, saying that the demonstration would be continued until the government meets their wishes.
Earlier, similar rallies were launched last year in the province, Natiqi said adding, “The government has then made budget for the asphalting of a 20 kilo meters road.”
Meanwhile, provincial governor’s spokesman, Abdulhai Khatibi said the concerns would be share with the central government.
After a long time dispute among members of the parliament over the approval national budget for 1399, the house has finally on Wednesday approved the budget.
