KABUL: Political leaders including former president Hamid Karzai, presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Mohammad Karim Khalili, Mohammad Mohaqqeq, Hajji Din Mohammad, ANwarulhaq Ahadi, Batur Dostum and Salahuddin Rabbani held a meeting in Rabbani’s residence on Wednesday and discussed the problems and crisis came out after the announcement of presidential election results that introduced incumbent Ghani as the winner.
Abdullah and his supporters rejected the announcement and Abdullah threatened to form a parallel government. He has already started appointing shadow provincial governors in some northern provinces who have replaced the government-appointed heads of provinces.
A similar meeting was held last week in Hekmatyar’s house where political leaders discussed ways to find a solution for the problems.
